Story polls vanish in 24 hours. Decisions shouldn't.
A story poll disappears with the story, taking its result with it. encer polls live on your page: fans vote without signing up, options freeze fairly, and results stay put.

Platform story polls are great at reach and terrible at memory. The poll expires with the story, the result survives only as a screenshot, and anyone who arrives a day later cannot vote or even see what was asked.
When the question actually matters — which design gets printed, which city gets the next meetup — the poll should live somewhere durable. encer puts it on the page fans already visit.
Voting without a sign-up wall
Fans can vote anonymously; signed-in fans are counted exactly once per account. For anonymous votes encer uses best-effort duplicate prevention and says so plainly — we would rather describe the real guarantee than pretend anonymous internet voting can be made perfect.
Rules that stay fair mid-flight
Once the first vote lands, the options freeze. Nobody can quietly add or reword a choice halfway through and skew the outcome. Closing is explicit, and you can reopen if you closed by mistake.
Results on your schedule
You decide when numbers become visible: voters see results after voting, and everyone sees them once the poll closes. Until then, unpublished tallies stay unpublished.
- Anonymous voting with honest, best-effort dedupe
- One vote per account for signed-in fans
- Options freeze after the first vote
- Results gated until you choose to show them
Real use example: choosing the encore city
A musician lets fans pick the encore livestream's dedication city. The poll sits under the tour calendar on the same page. Fans who find the page from a week-old repost can still vote until close — and after close, the result stays visible next to the announcement it produced, instead of evaporating with a story.
During beta, the poll block is available where its rollout flag is enabled.
